Discovering the Ancient Secrets of Jamu in Indonesia: A Journey with JUARA Skincare Oceania.

To further our understanding and appreciation of these ancient recipes, I recently embarked on a fact-finding mission to Indonesia, beginning with the beautiful island of Bali (hubby came too)!

A Glimpse into Bali’s Rich History at Tugu Hotel

Our journey started at the enchanting Tugu Hotel, located in the heart of Canggu. This extraordinary hotel captures the vibrant spirit and passion of Indonesia, with each room meticulously designed by the owner to showcase an immaculate attention to detail. The rooms are a perfect marriage of color, texture, and atmosphere, creating an immersive experience that transports guests to another era.

I had the privilege of being personally shown around by Mr. Ari, the Hotel Manager, who provided an in-depth look at the hotel’s stunning collection of ancient relics and artworks.

His passion and knowledge brought the rich history of Indonesia and the significance of Jamu to life, deepening my appreciation for these traditional practices.

Following the tour, I was treated to experience 'A Culinary Journey throughout the Indonesian Archipelago', featuring an extensive menu of authentic Indonesia cuisine made with passed down recipes perfectly encapsulating the holistic wellness philosophy that underpins Jamu and JUARA Skincare.  

 A Visit to Kappa Senses, Ubud

The journey continued at the serene permaculture eco resort of Kappa Senses, an organic retreat nestled in the lush greenery of Ubud.

This sanctuary is a testament to sustainable living, where many of the ingredients used in Jamu, and consequently in JUARA Skincare, are cultivated.

Here, we witnessed firsthand the meticulous care and dedication that goes into growing these powerful herbs and plants.

Kappa Senses not only grow these ingredients but also incorporates them into their food and Jamu drinks, for their guests to enjoy.

 

It was enlightening to learn about the profound impact these natural ingredients have on our health, both when consumed and applied topically. This experience reinforced the concept that what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we eat, as our skin absorbs these potent nutrients.
